AFRAA LOUNGE

A quite new location (2010) where you might find a younger audience who loves to party. A very big club with the longest bar in town. The basement provides hookah and coffee shop experience. The party will upstairs on the dance floor.

PLUSH
The plush is new to the city although located in an old victorian building at Astor Hotel. In this bar you can have good food and drinks including cocktails. There is not much of Bollywood music, but hiphop, techno and house. Try the "Cosmo Pitcher" drink! Although not the biggest location it is always crowded.

PRIVY
This lounge in Bhowanipur serves all kinds of drinks if you like. The atmosphere is stylish in black/red, many young and stylish people can be found here.

ROXY
This retro-stylish bar located at The Park hotel might serve the best cocktails in town and reminds the visitors of the Sixties or Seventies. You may chill out at the upper floor, while listening to DJ's downstairs.

SHISHA
The Shisha that can be found in the Inorbit shopping mall with a nice view at the 5th floor is Kolkata's first hookah bar and very popular since 2003. The decoration is exotic and cosy. Today, the bar was renamed into SHISHA REINCARNATED. Besides Bollywood songs visitors will like electronic lounge music as well.

SOMEPLACE ELSE
This British pub like location that belongs to The Park hotel is probably one of the most famous spots to visit if you wish to experience Kolkata nightlife. The atmosphere is great with cover bands playing live music while having a drink and some chat.

TANTRA
Once again located at The Park, the Tantra is the biggest dicotheque in Kolkata. Although the hype seems to be over, the club remains popular. Two levels, two bars and a huge dance floor. International DJ's can be found at the weekends performing at Tantra.

UNDERGROUND
The Hotel Hindusthan International presents one of the smaller, but very famous nightclubs in Kolkata. The Underground has a small dancing area, but that is always crowded and with an outstanding atmosphere. But aware that couples only are allowed to enter that area. Bollywood remixes are popular, and you might have some cocktails and even some delicious food.
