Chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced that due to Covid-19 pandemic the Kolkata film festival will be held during 8-15 January 2021. The KIFF has gained international recognition and as a logical consequence, leading film stars, i.e. Shah Rukh Khan visited the festival in 2019 already.
